Throughout the world, the number one source of entertainment is perhaps viewing movies. Motion pictures are appreciated by everybody and they have the power to influence our lives for the better and even for the worse. Films based upon true tales are always interesting and they help us to decipher life by watching the trials and troubles of another person and their life. Fictional stories affect us the same way because they are typically based upon real life experiences.

The Gorilla – Disheartening comedy thriller with the Ritz Brothers as fumbling investigators prowling around old rest home looking for a murderer. Cast includes The Ritz Brothers, Anita Louise, Patsy Kelly, Lionel Atwill, Bela Lugosi, and Joseph Calleia. (66 minutes,’39)

La Nuit de Varennes – Clever historical legend has such celebrated entities as Casanova and Thomas Paine cross roads at the time of the French Rebellion. Cast includes Marcello Mastroianni, Jean-Louis Barrault, Hanna Schygulla, Harvey Keitel, and Jean-Claude Brialy. (133 minutes,’82)

Borderline – Unusual thriller comedy in which L.A. police officer Trevor tries to assemble proof contrary to cunning drug smuggler Burr when mixing with hard gentleman MacMurray in Mexico. Starts out hopefully, although eventually slows down in absurdity. Burr makes a lucid scoundrel. The cast includes Fred MacMurray, Claire Trevor, Raymond Burr, Jose Torvay, Morris Ankrum, and Roy Roberts. (88 minutes,’50)

Nutcracker the Motion Picture – Much of this version of The Nutcracker, acted by the Pacific Norhtwest Ballet, is like a music video with rapid cutting and close-ups of legs, faces, and elbows. This is exceptionally annoying. However the Tchaikovsky music is, obviously, amazing, as are Maurice Sendak’s sets and costumes. Cast includes Hugh Bigney, Vanessa Sharp, Patricia Barker, Wade Walthall, Russell Burnett, and the voice of Julie Harris. (89 minutes,’86)

Indian Love Call – 15-year-old Arikara (Crawford), his horse, and his becoming a man. Cast includes Johnny Crawford, Jay Silverheels, Pat Hogan, Robert Crawford, Jr., and George J. Lewis. (91 minutes,’36)

Most of these films are considered to be some of the peak films of all times and based upon status and box office take they are the best of all times. You may not be able to stumble on them at your local video store but if you want to see them you can now download unabridged, high-quality movies right to your own computer on a respectable, entirely authorized picture download site.
