Saving Time By Using Social Bookmarking
Trying to find what you are looking for when you use the internet is no easy task, especially when you are looking for resources. This is why social bookmarking was created, to make your job easier. You have a choice as to whether you want to keep the metadata to yourself or whether you feel it will be of use to other people. You can have it open to anyone or just the people who you have decided to let join your network, whether for business or pleasure.
There are some things that you are not able to explain well using words alone so you do have options as to how you wish to display the metadata. This can be done as well as through typed words by using a video, even music. If you are trying to explain a landscape or some kind of art you will also be able to use picture forms if you wish or charts that will make the explanation easier to understand.
One of the main advantages to the bookmarking is that the people who have made the tags on them and created the bookmarks in the first place are just like you and I. With any form of resources that are automated you can find that you get a degree of error. One example would be if you were to look for a hedge, you would end up with links to resources on hedge funds, hedgehogs and more.
No matter why you need the resource you will find that you can save a lot of time by not having to keep entering information that is not relevant to your search. This is a method that has been around for over a decade and is growing from strength to strength as technology advances. It has most definitely had its place in our past and is sure to do so in the future.
