Choosing the Most Profitable ClickBank Affiliate Programs
Thousands of website owners dream of profits from affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing offers endless opportunities to anyone with a computer, a flare for selling, and a few dollars to start an income-generating home business that will drive them down the road to financial security. The Internet’s biggest and most popular resource for affiliate marketers is Clickbank, the web hub that enables anyone to pick up digital products and sell them for a hefty commission. The thing is, there are thousands of products in the Clickbank Marketplace, over 10,000, in fact. How do you determine which products will bring you the most profits?
The first thing to take in mind is that Clickbank generates objective estimates of potential profitability. Clickbank can tell you how well a product is likely to do regardless of how it is written, presented, or shipped. All of these factors are just numbers that tell you whether a product fills an immediate need. Which products fill immediate needs? How about an ebook on how to train your dog? Make money online? A digital guide on how make up after you break up or hit it big playing lotto? The products that sell on Clickbank are products that offer a credible answer to a pressing question, products that give the buyer relief right now.
The second thing to consider is whether the Publisher presents the product in an attractive and unique way. The idea is to present a clear and compelling list of all the features that make the buyer want to click Purchase Now and enter a credit card number. The problem is, too often Publishers list features of their products that nobody really cares about. They might forget spellcheck or use bad grammar. Even if you do a terrific job of preselling the product, if the landing page is a mess, customers will click away without a second thought.
A third consideration is how well other affiliates have been doing on the same product. You can find a set of tools that help you determine whether products will work for you. The gravity score, for instance, tells you how many affiliates have made sales of this product in the last six weeks, giving greater weight to the most recent sales. The gravity score won’t tell you if a single affiliate marketer has sold a tremendous number of copies of the product, but it will tell you how broadly the product appeals to the buying public. A high gravity score tells you that your page, almost no matter how you frame it, is likely to work right away. Clickbank also offers a report of the average earnings per sale made by affiliates. If the gravity is low and the percentage sold by affiliates is high, you can walk away knowing overall sales are probably too low to be worth your time.
Ultimately, the best judgment of which products will generate the most profits for you has to be based on your taking a hard look at the numbers, and a creative look at the product. Invest your sales acumen in the products you would buy for yourself. Focus on products of proven merit, high gravity, and great sales copy. Chucking poorly written products and lazy publishers before you ever get started with them will give you a list of high-potential product and bump your chances of success higher.
